St. James Park

Nothing amazing to say about this area, especially through my beer goggles at this stage. Is there anywhere to sit down? Luckily there are three pubs all of which are open on Saturday. Mind the Feathers was charging to let you in, not much good if your only going in for a half! oh look there's Scotlandyard!

We have had some feedback from some crawlers in 2004 regarding the Old Star.

"Thanks Guys the guide was invaluable. Just a note though. The Star (St James Park) were VERY unwelcoming to us.  Firstly when we asked for halves they immediately got ratty-on saying they dont serve 'Circle-liners'. When we argued it (we're s*u*d*i*s we'll argue/fight anything!!) they said they didn't want 'circle-liners' business. I say give them a slagging...... I did!"

Location: Pubs:
1. The Old Star

2. The Feathers

3. The Sanctury

The Old Star: Closest  SATURDAY 'T'  CIRCLE LINERS NOT WELCOME
At the top of the stairs from the platforms, turn left and go through the barriers to exit onto Broadway. The pub is either it is straight over the road or you need to go to the exit at the other end of the station.

We would like to make it clear if you do go to The Old Star to CHECK your CHANGE IMMEDIATELY IT IS GIVEN TO YOU.

The Feathers:  SATURDAY
At the top of the stairs from the platforms, go through the barriers to exit onto Palmer Street. Head left towards Scotland yard and continue left onto Broadway. You'll see the pub on the right. We think!

Sanctuary House: SATURDAY
At the top of the stairs from the platforms, turn left and go through the barriers to exit onto Broadway. You will see The Star across the road, however head right down Tohill Street. Near the junction on the right hand side with Dean Farrar Street you will spot the Sanctuary.
